We have built a versatile Content Player for the iGOT Platform, supporting various media formats such as mp4 videos, PDF documents, SCORM, xAPI, and Tin Can packages. The major focus was on ensuring smooth playback of courses and programs within the iGOT Platform through the integrated Content Player. In addition to that, telemetry functionalities have been implemented to monitor user engagement and progress, including heartbeat signals, current timestamp tracking, and progress metrics capture.

" Vinayak Raj Ranjan is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur, with a focus on software development and cloud technologies. His interests lie in building scalable tech solutions using frameworks like React, Node.js, and Docker. Vinayak's passion for open-source projects and impactful development led him to join Code for GovTech (C4GT), where he is contributing to versatile content players and population-scale projects."

About Mentor

Rajnish is currently pursuing his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT Bhubaneswar and he comes within top 10% students in his college. He is a full Stack developer focused on building solutions. He is interested in contributing to open-source and continuously upskilling himself by learning new technologies and loves to take leadership roles; is a team man with a good amount of expereince in team management and organization. Apart from the academic and technical aspects, Rajnish loves to achor and host events (he's hosted near about 85% of the events in his college) and watching web series.

  1. This project will reduce the redundant manual involvement in the training and teaching of the government officials and labourers.
  2. Candidates can be graded or they performance can be measured by the help of the evaluation metrics (progress tracker) on the website.
  3. This projects dealt a lot of brainstroming and research work from the scratch especially in figuring out how to work with the scorm cloud and xapi as the official documentations didn’t have much on the pratical implementation aspect of the same, making the project more challening yet exciting.
