Because of the popularity of whatsapp as a content consumption platform, many fact checkers use it as a channel to engage with their readers. These channels, called as Tiplines are meant for citizens to forward media items and receive fact check reports on. There is a lack of understanding about what citizens expect from such tiplines and if they find them usable. This project aims to close that gap by doing an preliminary user research of whatsapp users.
